The small island of Lamu, northeast of Mombasa, oozes old-world charm. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Lamu Old Town is Kenya’s oldest continually inhabited settlement with origins dating back to the 12th century. Strolling the labyrinthine streets, you can see the island’s rich trading history reflected in the buildings.

Itinerary
Day 1
Lamu
Proceed to the airport for your flight to Lamu. Upon arrival you will be met by our representatives and be transferred by boat to lamu Island, to your hotel.
Afternoon at leisure or do optional activities arranged on request. Dinner will be served at the hotel.
Day 2-3
Lamu
Breakfast at the hotel/resort. Rest of the day at leisure in this beautiful Swahili town with optional activities available from which client can choose from and pay for directly.
“Lamu, is an archipelago of small islands off the north-eastern end of the Kenyan coast. Arabic and local coastal are the cultures here. Old 18th century stone houses, huge intricately carved doors and hanging balconies, women dressed in traditional black bui-buis and fishing dhows with huge triangular sails are some of the trademarks of this island. The biggest attraction however is the unspoilt culture and atmosphere of busy days of the past. The narrow streets are usually busy with donkeys which take the place of cars and it will be interesting to note that there is only 1 car on the entire island. A city tour of this island will be fulfilling” You will spend the following night at your hotel. After settling in, you will be guided through the narrow streets of Lamu as you tour town. Another option is proceed to visit by motorboat, either the Manda Toto or Matondoni where the traditional sailing dhows are made. Rest of the day at leisure in the hotel.
Day 4
Lamu - Nairobi
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out of the hotel and transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Wilson Airport. Upon arrival, you’ll be met by our representative and transferred to JKIA for your outbound flight depending on the flight timings
