This 4-day safari combines two of Kenya’s most iconic wildlife destinations, offering breathtaking scenery and excellent game viewing. Experience the elephant-filled plains of Amboseli National Park set against the majestic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, then explore the vast wilderness of Tsavo East, famous for its red elephants, dramatic landscapes, and rich wildlife.
Itinerary
Depart Nairobi early in the morning and drive south to Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge or tented camp. After some relaxation, head out for an afternoon game drive across the open plains. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds and clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro, along with sightings of lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and various birdlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Spend a full day exploring Amboseli with morning and afternoon game drives. The early morning offers the best chances to see wildlife when animals are most active and Kilimanjaro is usually clear. Visit the swamps and observation hill for panoramic views and excellent photography opportunities. Optional cultural visits to a Maasai village can be arranged. Meals and overnight at the lodge or camp.
After breakfast, depart Amboseli and drive to Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya’s largest and oldest parks. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive through the vast wilderness known for its red-dust elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, and diverse birdlife. Visit landmarks such as Aruba Dam, which attracts many animals. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Tsavo.
Begin the day with an early morning game drive to catch predators and grazers at their most active. After breakfast, exit the park and drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon for drop-off at your hotel or airport, marking the end of your safari.
